The visualization uses React hooks (useState, useEffect) to fetch and parse the CSV data with d3.csv, then renders SVG rectangles scaled by d3.scaleLinear and d3.scaleBand. Axis ticks and gridlines are generated manually using d3.ticks, with red dashed lines marking each cost value. The chart displays country names on the y-axis and dollar amounts on the x-axis.
