This example, built with the Vega-Lite API wrapper for Vega and Vega-Lite, displays a scatter plot of automobile efficiency data. The visualization encodes engine displacement, horsepower, origin, and weight as position, color, and size for each circular mark. Data comes from the UCI Machine Learning Repository’s Auto MPG dataset, loaded as CSV via d3.csv. The chart uses configured axis styling and a tooltip handler, rendering through Vega’s SVG output.
