The example predicts a protein’s absorption spectrum (250–320 nm) from its amino acid sequence. The interface, built with React and Bootstrap, shows the method’s principle, sequence and disulfide bond count inputs, and a results area for the predicted spectrum and table. The algorithm follows Hilario et al., 2016, computing a spectrum as a sum of Tyr, Trp, Phe, and SS contributions with a correction for native proteins. JavaScript handles input state and button clicks, while placeholder rendering prepares for the spectrum output.
