This chart visualizes the global cumulative death toll from COVID-19 over time, using a logarithmic y-axis to accommodate the wide range of values from 1 to the current total. The line chart updates over the pandemic's progression, with the final data point labeled with the total death count. Built with React and D3 v5, it loads data from the JHU CSSE COVID-19 time series CSV, transforms it by summing daily global deaths, and renders an SVG with a time-scaled x-axis and log-scaled y-axis.
