This static network visualization displays six major US cities as colored circular nodes connected by gray lines representing flight routes. The node positions are manually specified as x and y coordinates, and links are defined by city name pairs. Built with D3.js v7, the example uses the `.join()` method for efficient element creation, `d3.scaleOrdinal` and `d3.schemeCategory10` to assign node colors, and SVG primitives (`circle`, `line`, `text`) for rendering. City labels appear above each node with bold styling.
