This choropleth map colors countries by their economy classification using an ordinal color scale with a spectral scheme. The geographic data comes from the world-atlas TopoJSON dataset, which is processed with topojson.feature and joined to TSV metadata. A natural Earth projection renders the map via d3.geoPath, while d3.zoom enables panning and zooming. Hovering highlights countries in red, and a custom color legend displays the color scale with circles and text labels.
