This example shows a horizontal bar chart of country populations, using a CSV dataset with population values scaled by 1000. It employs D3 v5’s `csv`, `scaleLinear`, `scaleBand`, `axisLeft`, and `axisBottom` APIs to map data to SVG rectangles. The chart renders inside an SVG element with margins, and axes are appended via `g` groups. Population values are converted to numbers before scaling, and the bars use a fixed steelblue fill.
