This pie chart shows the distribution of 2022 U.S. auto sales by brand, with each slice sized proportionally to the brand’s year-to-date sales total. The chart renders an SVG with colored arcs and a legend listing each brand’s name, percentage share, and sales volume in thousands. The code uses d3.pie, d3.arc, and d3.scaleOrdinal to generate the chart, and loads CSV data from a GitHub gist via d3.csv. Percentages are calculated by dividing each brand’s sales by the total.
