A dropdown menu lets the viewer choose among the dataset’s numeric columns, triggering a new histogram-based area path for that variable. The chart uses D3.js v6 with an SVG rendering, computing bins via `d3.bin` and drawing the area with `d3.area`. Axes are generated with `d3.axisBottom` and `d3.axisLeft`. The data is loaded as CSV from a remote gist, and the visualization updates in place on user selection.
