This is a horizontal bar chart showing the populations of the top 10 countries in the year 2000. Built with D3 v7, the visualization uses `d3.scaleLinear` for the x-axis and `d3.scaleBand` for the categorical y-axis. The bars are rendered as SVGs using `d3.axisBottom`, `d3.axisLeft`, and `d3.selectAll` to draw rectangles. Data is loaded asynchronously via `d3.csv` from a remote GitHub repository.
