A grid of 50 smiley faces appears, each with a yellow circular head, black-outlined eyes, and a fixed smile arc, but with randomized eye sizes and eye colors generated as RGB values. The faces are rendered as React components that use the `arc` generator from D3 v5 to create the mouth path, while SVG circles draw the face and eyes. Each face’s width and height increase linearly from 50 to 490 pixels, and the layout flows in document order without explicit positioning.
