This interactive visualization renders the Collatz Conjecture as a radial tree, with the root at 1 and each node branching outward through its reverse operations: doubling and, when applicable, the (x−1)/3 step. Red nodes indicate numbers divisible by three, while black nodes mark others. An orbit-length slider and play/stop buttons animate the graph’s expansion level by level, with smooth transitions between states. Built with D3’s tree layout and jQuery UI controls, it uses SVG for rendering and D3 transitions to animate nodes and links.
