This visualization displays a map of the United States of America as a single geographic entity. It uses D3 version 5 along with the topojson-client library to extract the country’s boundary from a world-atlas TopoJSON file. The map is rendered as an SVG path using a Mercator projection (fit to a 1700×400 size) via `d3.geoMercator` and `d3.geoPath`. The final SVG element is added to the page with a width of 900 and height of 500 pixels.
