This example shows a horizontal bar chart of country populations using a bar for each row of data. It renders SVG bars with a steelblue fill, using D3 v6 functions such as `scaleLinear`, `scaleBand`, `axisLeft`, and `axisBottom`. The code loads population data from a CSV file, multiplies the values by 1000, and displays them with margins and axes. The chart is built in a React-free vanilla JavaScript setup within an HTML page.
