Five fruit shapes animate in and out of a basket, demonstrating the general update pattern with enter, update, and exit selections. D3 v5’s `scaleOrdinal` maps fruit types to colors and radii, while `transition().duration()` animates circle growth. The code mutates an array over timed intervals, triggering re-renders that move, recolor, and remove SVG elements.
