A circular "bowl" holds a row of red apples and a single yellow lemon, positioned as fruit and animated over time. The visualization, built with D3 v5, applies the General Update Pattern: entering circles scale up from radius zero, updated circles smoothly transition to their final positions and radii, and exiting circles shrink away. The fruit render as SVG circles, with color and radius mapped from data-driven scales (scaleOrdinal) for each fruit type. Time-driven changes remove apples, convert one apple to a lemon, and delete another apple.
