The map uses an equirectangular projection with a graticule, and the data, from a Kaggle dataset, is loaded via `d3.json` and `d3.csv`. The code leverages D3’s `geoPath`, `geoEquirectangular`, and `geoGraticule` APIs, along with TopoJSON to convert the world-110m TopoJSON into GeoJSON for rendering as SVG paths.
