A blank pink SVG canvas is rendered as a full-screen visualization, with a solid background color applied via D3’s selection and style method. The example uses the `select` function from the D3 library to target the SVG element and set its background to pink, while CSS rules remove page margins and hide overflow. No data or additional marks are drawn; the piece demonstrates the minimal setup for styling a scalable vector graphic in a web page.
