This example shows a choropleth map of India’s states, each filled with a distinct color from a categorical scale and labeled with its name. Built with D3 v5, it loads TopoJSON state boundaries and renders them as SVG paths using a Mercator projection via `d3.geoPath` and `geoMercator`. State names are placed at each path’s centroid, while `d3.scaleOrdinal` and `schemeCategory10` assign colors.
