This example shows the global cumulative death toll from COVID-19 over time as a single black line on a full-screen SVG chart. The y-axis uses a linear scale, with explicit reference markers for the 1,000,000-death threshold. Built with React and D3 v5, the visualization loads data from the CSSE COVID-19 time-series CSV and uses `d3.scaleTime`, `d3.scaleLinear`, and `d3.line` to generate the path, while custom axis components render gridlines via `d3.axisBottom` and `d3.axisLeft`.
