Built with D3 v7 and TopoJSON, it renders geographic paths via `d3.geoPath` with a natural Earth projection, while zooming is handled through D3's zoom behavior. A custom legend component displays the color scale with SVG circles and text. Countries highlight red on hover, and the data merges World Atlas TopoJSON with TSV metadata to assign economy values.
