Forked from Points on a Map

A world map rendered with D3's geoNaturalEarth1 projection places semi-transparent circles at locations of documented migrant deaths and disappearances. Circle size encodes the total dead and missing count from the Missing Migrants Global 2019 dataset. The visualization uses React components, with d3.geoPath for landmasses, graticules, and interiors from TopoJSON, and d3.scaleSqrt to map the aggregated values.
