Heart Disease Age Distribution Visualization
This interactive visualization displays the age distribution
of patients, separated by heart disease status. The chart
shows what percentage of each heart disease group falls
within specific age ranges.
Key Features
- Grouped Bar Chart: Compare age distributions between
patients with and without heart disease
- Interactive Legend: Hover over legend items to
highlight corresponding data groups
- Interactive Bars: Hover over individual bars to see
exact percentage values
- Percentage Normalization: Each group (with/without
heart disease) is normalized to 100%, making proportional
comparisons clear
Data
The visualization uses heart disease patient data with age
and disease status information.
How to Read the Chart
- Blue bars: Patients without heart disease
- Red bars: Patients with heart disease
- X-axis: Age ranges in 5-year bins (30-80 years)
- Y-axis percentages: Show what portion of each heart
disease status group falls within that age range
- The percentages are calculated within each heart disease
group separately, not across the entire dataset
