Coal-Fired Power Capacity Visualization

This visualization shows the global coal-fired power capacity additions from 2000 to 2024. The data is displayed in two main components:

1. A time series chart showing annual additions for:

   • Total global capacity
   • China and India combined
   • The rest of the world (outside China and India)

2. A bar chart showing the top countries by total capacity additions over the entire period.

The visualization is built with D3.js and React.

Data Source

The data represents coal-fired power capacity additions measured in megawatts (MW).
