Emergent Patterns Visualization

This project demonstrates the concept of emergent patterns through an interactive visualization built with D3.js.

The visualization shows how collective behaviors arise from simple interactions between many particles, with no central control. It features:

1. A network of nodes and links that constantly form, break, and reform
2. Wave patterns that demonstrate how phenomena can move through a medium while individual particles only move up and down
3. Temporary patterns that emerge and dissolve over time

This demonstrates the philosophical concept that complex systems (like consciousness, societies, or ecosystems) can emerge from simple interactions between many individual elements.
