The Heart of Prajñāpāramitā Visualization

This project presents the Heart of Prajñāpāramitā with an interactive visualization that maps key Buddhist concepts and their relationships.

Features

  • Elegant presentation of the Heart of Prajñāpāramitā text
  • Interactive force-directed graph of Buddhist concepts
  • Color-coded concept grouping by category
  • Hover tooltips for term explanations
  • Responsive design that works on various screen sizes

Visualization Details

The concept map uses D3.js to create a force-directed graph that demonstrates the interconnected nature of key Buddhist terms. The visualization highlights five main categories:

  1. Wisdom concepts (orange): Prajñāpāramitā, Śūnyatā, Form, Emptiness
  2. Suffering concepts (yellow): Skandhas, Dukkha, Four Noble Truths
  3. Enlightenment concepts (teal): Bodhicitta, Bodhi, Nirvana, Tathāgatagarbha
  4. Obstacles/Poisons (red): Triviṣa, Trishna, Dvesha, Moha
  5. Causality (blue): Karma

The strength of connections between concepts is represented by line thickness, and users can interact with the visualization to explore relationships between concepts.

How to Use

  1. Read through the Heart of Prajñāpāramitā text to understand the context
  2. Explore the concept map by dragging nodes to different positions
