HP2020 Progress data measures progress in health status of population groups by characteristics such as: race and ethnicty, educational attainment, family income, disability status,sex, and geographic location.

Attributes, description, types:

  1. Final Progress Status Category, Health status (target met or exceeded, Improved, little or no detectable change, got worse), ordinal
  2. educational attainment (Less than high school, high school graduate, some college, associate degree, 4-year college degree, advanced degree): ordinal
  3. family income (poor, near poor, middle income, near-high income, high income), ordinal
  4. race and ethnicity (American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, two or more races, Hispanic or Latino, Black, not Hispanic or Latino, White, not Hispanic or Latino), categorical
  5. geographic location (rural or nonmetropolitan areas, urban or metropolitan geographic location), categorical
  6. disability status (persons with disabilities or activity limitations, persons without disabilities or activity limitations), categorical.

Questions:

  1. How did educational attainment (Less than high school, high school graduate, some college, associate degree, 4-year college degree, advanced degree) affected objectives final progress in health status?
  2. How did family income (poor, near poor, middle income, near-high income, high income) affected health status of the objectives?
  3. what is the difference in final health progress of objectives race and ethnicity (American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, two or more races, Hispanic or Latino, Black, not Hispanic or Latino, White, not Hispanic or Latino?
  4. What is the final progress status for objectives in urban or metropolitan geographic location?
  5. How did objectives health status change in rural or nonmetropolitan areas?
  6. How did health status of persons with disabilities or activity limitations change?
  7. How did health status of persons without disabilities or activity limitations change?
