This visualization was constructed using the vega-lite-api and is based on data collected by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), an independent agency of the United States federal government and contains the information from the Form ADV (Uniform Application for Investment Adviser Registration). The data has been filtered down to show Boston managers with assets under management (AUM) < $6B and shows the relationship between assets under management and the # of investment employees. It also shows whether the manager gets paid performance based fees which is an indication of the profit potential for the investment managers.
