A visualization constructed using vega-lite-api that shows the number of male and female firearm deaths from 2003-2017.

The data shown here comes from Gist: Deaths by Suicide, Firearms, Alcohol. This visualization uses a simplified csv that is much larger in size. It should be refactored or removed.

Observations: We can see that the total number of deaths goes up over time. We can also see that there are consistently more deaths from alcohol than suicide, and suicide than firearms. More questions can be asked on the breakdown of these deaths.
