The sinking of the Titanic remains one of history's most notorious maritime disasters.
On April 15, 1912, during its first voyage, the RMS Titanic, often deemed "unsinkable," tragically sank after striking an iceberg. The ship was not equipped with enough lifeboats for all aboard, leading to the loss of 1,502 lives out of the 2,224 passengers and crew.
Although luck played a role in survival, it appears that certain groups had a higher likelihood of surviving than others.
